Devon Freewheelers fashion is here - find out how you can support the charity with style

Devon Freewheelers fashion makes affordable Christmas stocking fillers while supporting the charity to keep the vital blood bike service on the road.

This year the charity’s income – which keeps the round-the-clock free service on the road, supporting the NHS - has been hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic as so many of our supporters have been forced to cancel their fundraising events.

Here at Devon Freewheelers HQ we are pleased to announce for a donation of £5 you can now wear your support for the charity, with these red-coloured wind and rain blocker snoods, decorated with the charity’s logo.

Not just for bikers – the multifunctional wind and rain blocker headwear, made by British company Giraffe, can be worn by all ages in a variety of ways.

The stretchy 100 per cent polyester tube of fully-washable microfiber, repel, material can be fashioned into a whole host of useful headgear; an impromptu hood for drizzly days, as a neckerchief or facemask, a hair scrunchie or headband to tame those unruly locks, a scarf – and with a twist, tuck or knot – hats and caps.

Snoods can be collected, by appointment, from the Devon Freewheelers headquarters in Honiton, or if you would prefer to include postage, we can send them out.

Caroline Retter, Devon Freewheelers blood bikes operations manager, said: “Due to Covid-19 Devon Freewheelers, along with many other charities, is no longer able to fund raise as we normally would.

“We have been coming up with other ideas on how you can support the charity so that we can continue to provide the free blood bike service to the NHS across Devon.”

Earlier this year the charity launched its stylish Devon Freewheelers face masks, available for a donation of £4.

The face masks instantly proved to be a popular choice with our loyal supporters. While they reportedly have been ‘flying out of the door’ from Devon Freewheelers HQ since they were introduced, we still have some left if you would like one.

Face masks can be picked up from our Honiton HQ, by making an appointment. Or if you prefer to include the postage, we can send your mask out to you.
