Hall & Scott Estate Agents names Devon Freewheelers its Charity of the Year - recognising 'the service the Devon Blood Bikes provides'

Hall & Scott Estate Agents, in Ottery St Mary, has chosen the Devon Freewheelers as its charity of the year because of the ‘service the Devon Blood Bikes provides’.

Staff based at the Broad Street office are gearing up to organise fundraising activities in a bid to raise awareness of the Devon Freewheelers and its free delivery service, supporting the NHS.

Elliott Jeffery, Assistant Sales Office Manager at Hall & Scott, in Ottery, said some earlier planned fundraising events in aid of Devon Freewheelers had ‘been limited’ by the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

He said: “We have been talking about making Devon Freewheelers our charity of the year for a while because of the service they provide for the community.

“It’s been a little bit more limited, what we can do - because of Covid - but we have some events in the pipeline that are coming up, and some social media campaigns planned.”

Russell Roe, Devon Freewheelers Deputy CEO, said: “We are so grateful to the team at Hall & Scott in Ottery for supporting the Devon Freewheelers with charity of the year status.

“It gives the volunteers a huge boost when a business or organisation, such as Hall & Scott, recognises the value of the charity within the community.

“Every penny raised by Hall & Scott will go towards keeping the vital Devon Blood Bikes help on the road, providing a free transport delivery service to NHS across the whole of Devon.”

Mr Roe added: “We are always happy to team up with other clubs, organisations and businesses from across the county who would like to support the work of the Devon Freewheelers through fundraising or promoting our services.”

Independent estate agent Hall & Scott has offices in Ottery St Mary, West Hill, Topsham, Sidmouth and Exmouth.
