Over the past 12 months Sherborne Classic Cars CIO have been raising money for a large number of charities and organisations.
Devon Freewheelers was lucky enough to be selected as one of the beneficiaries and in July we were honoured to attend the Sherborne Car Show at Sherborne Castle showcasing amazing cars, trade stands and entertainment to raise funds.
On the 15th November two of our volunteers, Colin Chapman and Graham Carver were presented with a cheque for an amazing £5000.00 grant awarded by the Sherborne Classic Cars CIO Trustees at Sherborne Castle. This money will be used to keep our dedicated vehicle for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance fueled for approximately 6 months transporting vital blood to enable the Air Ambulance team to provide life saving care to critically ill patients.
